Mula Koshimbir/Raddish Koshimbir

  • How to make muli koshimbir:


  • Ingredients:
          1. Radish (1 no grated)
          2. Dahi/Curd (100-150 gm)-see basics
          3. Mustard seeds (rai)
          4. Cumin seeds (jeera)
          5. Green chilli (1 no chopped)
          6. Oil (1-2 tspn)
          7. Salt to taste
          8. Sugar to taste
          9. Water
         10. Coriander leaves

  • Preparation:
          1. Grate long one raddish and squeeze out the water from the grated radish.
          2. Take the curd/dahi for homemade dahi see link-Home made dahi  .
              in a vessel add little water and churn it evenly.
          3. Add the grated raddish,chopped green chilli,salt and sugar 1-2 tspn to the
              curd.
          4. Mix all the ingredients. Heat oil for tempering, add mustard & cumin seeds
              once they crackle remove from heat.
          5. Pour the tempering on the curd-radish mixture,mix well.
          6. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with lunch or dinner meals.

  • Notes:
         1. Do not throw away the squeezed out water from radish. Add salt to it &
             drink. OR
         2. Add the radish water to some sabji/curry while cooking.
         3. I have tried to get a better shot of the koshimbir,still in the picture the radish is 
             not much visible as the curd & radish have blended well.
